Electrical Engineer (m/f/d)

(NPI) related company, is currently seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to fill the position as Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) Department: Development / Construction Job Type: Full Time, permanent Location: Hamburg / to be discussed NPI is an independent international power producer dedicated to the development, construction, owning and operation of clean and green power projects in North America, Europe, Taiwan and Latin America. NPE is a 100% subsidiary of Northland Power Inc (“Northland”) and acts as a European Service Organization and provides services as NPI’s offshore wind operations hub to NPI’s overseas offshore wind projects. The NPE team also supports Northland’s global offshore wind project development work. Our facilities produce electricity from clean-burning natural gas and renewable resources such as wind, solar and biomass. Position As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for electrical system design, studies and grid connection.
Key Accountabilities
• Provision of overall electrical system design, modelling and simulation studies
• Grid Code compliance
• Ensure that the project is on time on quality and within scope and budget
• Comply with project guidelines and current standards (i.e. ISO9001 requirements and local requirements)
• Ensure that the best technical practices are implemented
• Ensure hand-over of agreed documentation to O&M
• Ensure technical and economical optimisation of electrical system and array
• Ensure all relevant studies are carried out
• Ensure electrical system design reports and verification of grid code compliance
• Prepare & review technical documents
• Continuously report progress, variations and challenges to the Technical PM/EPCI Director and provide input to various reports
• Provide necessary information for compliance test and ensure feed-back from test and commissioning into system design
• Provide engineering support to Package Managers (especially the IAC, OSS, and ONS packages) and project team
Education, Experience & Skills
• MSc EE degree or equivalent experience
• At least 10 years experience with electrical wind farm design, development or construction
• Strong analytic approach and negotiation skills
• Comfortable flagging problems when they arise and asking for help when needed
• Ability to be proactive while working remotely or independently
• Team player and strong communicator with internal and external parties
